Legacy is a small neighbourhood in Markham located just South of Hwy 407.  It is also bounded by the Rouge River to the west, 14th Avenue to the South and Box Grove By-Pass to the East.  The community is made up of mid to upper income families featuring only large single detached homes.  The house values in the area can range from $425,000 on the low end up to $820,000 or more.

This community borders on one of Markham's nicer golf courses called "Markham Greens".  This course is owned by the town of Markham but maintained by Angus Glen golf club.  At the same location you'll find the Rouge River Community Centre which has a pool facility that runs several classes for Markham residents.  There is one school in the neighbourhood known as Legacy Public School.
